This letter is meant to provide the reader with my own personal observations and opinions about products that are meant to increase hydration. I recently completed a hydration clinical study on a functional water product invented by Dr. David Wheeler, a Chiropractic Physician from Oregon. The name of his product is Plato H2O™. The results from this clinical study were outstanding in terms of hydration, but before elaborating I would like to provide some background information first.
As you all are aware I have been doing research for about 15 years now and I take the responsibility of product testing very seriously. Keeping my mind in a neutral and clear place is the best thing I can do for all of us looking for real results. I have maintained control as well as ultimate responsibility for every study, published article, and public speaking engagements so that the statements I make are not clouded by any one or anything.
The idea that a functional water can be produced which will dramatically increase hydration at a cellular level is of great interest to all of us those dedicated to natural alternatives in healthcare. Now that Fenestra provides a measurable look at cellular hydration based on a thorough understanding of the bio chemical and electric parameters involved we now have the means to know if one water product can hydrate better than another. I have been working for about 2 years testing distilled water, purified water, micro waters, wetter waters and not one of them has been able to hydrate better than the others. Furthermore, none of the water products I have tested has significantly increased hydration based on the Fenestra technology parameters. Of course, I would love to find a functional water product that substantially increases cellular hydration, but as I have indicated this has not been the case for the last few years.
When a client or test subject comes to me that is not consuming their correct amount of water (half their weight in ounces daily of clean water) once they start consuming enough water their hydrations levels do improve to a certain degree. But hydration improvement has been minimal for most people in this regard and therefore not satisfactory to truly make a difference on the level of cellular hydration. Only about 1.5% of the 12,000 Fenestra tests I have seen are the people within optimum ranges for hydration. Nothing that I have tried over the last 2 years has worked and I had pretty much put the cellular hydration problem on the back burner of my Wellness perfection quest.
A couple of months ago I started communications with Dr. David Wheeler the inventor and manufacturer of Plato H2O™. We have gotten to know and respect each other’s knowledge base. David asked me to do a thirty-day study with fifty subjects on his Plato H2O™ product. As always I was happy to start a research project! Keeping my mind in a neutral position as to the out come of a study is very important to me; but I must admit that based upon my previous experience with water products I knew I was going to be surprised if Plato H2O™ showed any significant changes in subjects that were currently consuming enough purified water every day and even in those who are not. To my surprise there was an over all increase of hydration at a cellular level of 22.3% across the board in the test subjects. I have now been able to actually measure, calculate and prove that a functional water product invented by an alternative practitioner is a remarkable way to increase cellular hydration. Again, the results from the Plato H2O™ clinical study were very surprising to me based on past experience with functional water products, but I would say that this surprise is very pleasant to say the least.
I am writing this letter as the clinical director of the Winter of 2004 M-Water Clinical Study to make other people know with utmost certainty that the test results from this study demonstrate that everyone who drinks water every day has a completely reliable way to increase cellular hydration.
