Based on the Line Width results from NMR testing and analysis (see below) it is clear that both Plato H2O™ and the water that it is added to, for general drinking, have smaller H20 cluster sizes than any of the many different water samples tested, including a well known functional water sold in health food stores in the US and Europe.

Plato H2O™ appears to have smaller H20 structure enhancement than both mineral water and water with colloidal minerals added. The difference in Line Width using the specifi NMR test is truly remarkable and illustrates a vast difference between Plato H2O™ and the other waters tested.

Horizontally the above graph presents eight water samples for testing with NMR?Vertically, the above graph presents NMR Line Width in Hertz for each water sample.  The lower the ‘Line Width’ the smaller the molecular cluster size.

Discussion:

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is a spectroscopic technique, which uses electromagnetic radiation and magnetic fields to determine the structures of molecules . RF radiation is used to stimulate the nuclei present within the molecule and from the information obtained by this process the location of the hydrogen and other molecules can be accurately determined. The principle of NMR is based on the spin of the atomic nuclei in an external magnetic field.

The specific NMR test used for the water samples below is called .sup.17 O NMR. In this test a graph is produced with a single line peak measured in Hertz, which is simply called Line Width.

In any solution the larger the molecular clusters (more hydrogen bonds) the slower the rotational diffusion.  This will demonstrate wider Line Width associated with a higher frequency in Hertz. A rotational diffusion that is faster, indicating smaller molecular clusters translates into a lower frequency measurement in Hertz and therefore a narrower Line Width. Therefore, with the use of the .sup.17 O NMR, whenever the Line Width in Hertz is narrower for any given water sample tested the molecular clusters are smaller than any other water sample where the Line Width is wider.

Conclusion:
Based on the newest discoveries in biochemistry and physics, such as the Aquaporin channels (for which the Nobel Prize was awarded in 2003), this provides a solid theoretical foundation suggesting that Plato H2O™ will hydrate the cells and the body as a whole much more quickly and efficiently. When there is faster and more efficient hydration of water in and out of the cells there will be an increase in nutrient absorption and the discharge of metabolites or toxins.
