Food allergies
and sensitivities always come down to the same set of problems. The extent of each varies from person to
person, but the solution is always the same.
- The body,
particularly the gut, must be clean and free to eliminate.
- The Liver
(the body’s detoxification plant) must be working optimally.
- It is
vital to have the right balance of healthy bowel flora.
- Parasites,
bacteria, fungus and viruses must be addressed.
- The body
must be re-hydrated at a cellular level!
The most common
underlying allergies are wheat allergy and cow’s milk or dairy allergy. It is sensible to avoid these foods while
addressing the issues above.

Should I blame the food?
The answer is
probably yes, but not in the way you think.
After all, many people eat what you are allergic to without
distress. It is not the food, but the
body that is offending!
When food is
eaten, many processes are triggered, and these vary according to the food
consumed. For example, on eating fatty
foods, the gallbladder pumps bile into the intestine to break it down, but this
does not happen if no fats are consumed.
So what has gone wrong?
As food is
ingested, a cascade of reactions is immediately set off. The food is then broken down into many
constituent parts. These are all handled
in different ways causing further metabolic cascades, and somewhere along the
line the food you are allergic to is causing a reaction that your body can no longer
cope with. Once this process has
happened once or twice, the body knows the ramifications of eating that food,
and tends to set up an immediate response to the food even before it hits the
stomach.
Why can I not handle the cascade of
digestive events?
In short the
answers are: Toxicity, congestion,
infection and dehydration. We must look
at how these have occurred and how to rectify them.
Food does play a part.
Unless
organic, farming practices introduce pesticides, herbicides, and imbalanced
minerals into vegetable crops while loading meats with vaccines and
antibiotics. Food processing also allows
many questionable ingredients, none of which have been studied in combination
with others. Over time, these ingredients
build up in our own systems, poisoning them and preventing them from
functioning.
The bowel flora (or friendly bacteria) is one of the first areas to
suffer. A change here prevents proper
nutritional uptake and begins a change in the body’s environment. Subsequent changes in chemical makeup,
temperature, cell membrane permeability, acidity and so on, make what used to
be a hostile environment for bacteria, into their perfect breeding ground. As they multiply, the environment changes
even more and other microbes move in.
The immune system lymph and liver now have greater demands placed upon them. The immune system works hard to kill the
microbes, but the environment is well suited to them, so they persist. The lymph becomes clogged with debris, which
the spleen must act on before passing the final cleansing responsibility to the
liver. The liver however is also
sub-optimal and its tubules become clogged.
Soon we have a
sluggish, leaky gut, congested lymph, clogged liver and hence poor blood, poor
oxygenation, impaired immunity and cellular respiration problems. The opportunity for microbes from parasites
to viruses simply increases.
The Allergy Solution
It is therefore
pointless simply killing microbes. Where
would they go? Into an already over
loaded lymphatic system and a clogged liver.
Also we cannot simply unblock the liver although this will help. We must be mindful that a whole new internal
environment has now been created.
The solution
then is multifaceted. Cellular hydration
MUST be reinstated to ensure nutrients reach their targets and toxins are removed. Meanwhile the liver must be unblocked, so it
can process the toxins without stress.
The parasites, and other microbes must be addressed, and the bowel flora
has to be reinstated. If all of these
things are addressed appropriately, the body’s terrain will shift again towards
health and its hyper-reactivity will diminish, resulting in ever fewer allergic
reactions.
